Good-bye
There’s nothing good in a
good-bye
No joy, no peace, no song.
For my heart’s aching with
the loss
And dawn seems oh so long.
I’ll cherish each fond mem’ry
yet
And hope t’will pass the
time.
When someday soon we’ll meet
again
In an embrace sublime.
Remember me where ‘ere you go
And count my love so true.
When days are dark, my love
will shine
And just envelop you.
So carry on—your future
bright
Be strong, with courage face—
Conquer your fears and do us
proud
You’ve fin’lly found your place.
